Just thought I would add my inspiration, white lillies.
The calla lily is what had inspired the ‘i’.
Both types represent such elegance and purity, I love ‘em.

In the very original production of the billboard, I was hoping to use a model of my own, although, I just couldn’t the skin and colouring right. Then it was then that I had chosen to use a celebrity to promote my product, in the support of my research.

I wanted to use this photograph in particular as I think this image depicts a simple, yet nice appeal to it, the way she is nude yet still has a soft elegant appeal.

In regards to advertising, as I showed earlier, companies tend to use famous beautiful people to promote their products. The personal favourite that is being used for this particular brand is going to be Jessica Alba. She always looks beautiful and comfortable, which is the message that is to be sent with the use of these products. I have sourced this high resolution from a website as it enables a free download. Other messages that are to be portrayed by this product is also confidence in wearing it, along with elegance and simplicity.

I have attached a copy of the billboard that has been designed.

I have come up with a logo for my brand.

I had created it about a week ago, and decided to add the line in today.
Knowing me, I will probably change it again… enjoy

not much changes October 7, 2009

Leading on from my last post… I have found an advertising poster for Max Factor, that was used in a 1960s magazine. You’ll be able to see that the elements included have not changed much, the beautiful, flawless lady, along with the logo and products. The design of the poster in general works well, linking the name of their new product with the appeal of the ad. The difference is, with the advancements in technology a whole new approach is taken to the appeal of advertisments today.

Looking at advertising for the cosmetics industry, they’re all fairly similar… featuring a flawless, beautiful lady, with the logo and cosmetic products featured on the side. Beautiful, well known stars are also used to promote their brands.

I did come across some creative ideas, like the Lancome one I have attached. I need to somehow come up with a style that will make my brand stand out from the rest.

It has been a while but I have decided to produce a cosmetics company brand.

Looking at a group of current brands in this area, the logos are mainly made up of typography with the occasional picture.

I have attached an image of a group of brands that already exist. The ideal style would be to produce one with class, keeping it simple, as the demographic it is aimed at, is women.
